Terms and Conditions details
1. Introduction and Scope of Agreement
Welcome to Christians in Nigeria Hope and Care Foundation. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website at christianhope.ng, as well as our digital donation portals, fundraising campaign tools, volunteer management channels, health screenings, and community outreach services. By visiting our website, submitting a contribution, creating or supporting a charitable campaign, applying to volunteer, or participating in any Foundation programme, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions alongside our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you should refrain from accessing our website or using our services.
2. Organization and Administrative Details
Christians in Nigeria Hope and Care Foundation is a registered non-profit organization operating from Suite WW6, TBS Onikan, Lagos, Nigeria.
For general inquiries, formal notices, or operational questions, contact us at info@christianhope.ng or +234 703 105 5514. All official online interactions and updates are hosted on our primary website domain at christianhope.ng.
3. User Capacity and Eligibility
By engaging with our digital platforms or participating in our initiatives, you affirm that you possess the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under applicable laws. If you are registering, donating, or creating a campaign on behalf of an enterprise, religious group, or corporate entity, you represent that you have received full authority to bind that entity to these Terms. Where children or young persons participate in our health, educational, or community outreach programmes, valid consent must be obtained from a parent or legal guardian in alignment with child protection requirements.
4. Donations, Payments, and Financial Compliance
The Foundation accepts monetary donations and contributions to support humanitarian relief, medical assistance, and community welfare projects across Nigeria. All online payments and donations are processed through third-party payment service providers. When making a contribution, you agree to adhere to the terms, security protocols, and privacy policies of the respective payment processor. All charitable donations made to the Foundation are voluntary, final, non-refundable, and non-transferable, except where specifically required by law or decided by the Foundation under exceptional operational circumstances. To uphold financial integrity, prevent fraud, and comply with anti-money laundering regulations, the Foundation reserves the right to request identity verification credentials, such as a National Identification Number (NIN) or Bank Verification Number (BVN), before processing financial transactions, approving campaign withdrawals, or disbursing relief funds.
5. Campaign Facilitation and Beneficiary Verification
Where our platform allows individuals or community representatives to launch or feature charitable campaigns, all submitted documentation, stories, and funding requests are subjected to authenticity reviews and safeguarding checks prior to publication. The Foundation retains full authority to request supplemental verification documents, identification credentials, or bank details to confirm legitimacy. We reserve the right to decline, modify, suspend, or permanently remove any campaign that contains false information, violates applicable laws, or fails to meet our internal compliance standards. Verification credentials like full NIN or BVN numbers will remain confidential and will never be displayed publicly on campaign pages.
6. Health Outreach and Community Initiatives
Health screenings, medical consultations, referrals, and aid distributions conducted during our community outreach events are provided solely for humanitarian and community support purposes. Participation in a health screening or community outreach initiative does not establish a formal physician-patient relationship unless explicitly specified under formal clinical pathways. The dignity, safety, and confidentiality of every beneficiary remain paramount. Photographs, personal stories, or testimonials that identify beneficiaries will only be used in promotional or impact reporting materials where appropriate consent or another valid legal basis has been established.
7. Volunteer and Staff Standards
Volunteers, community representatives, and field staff engaging in Foundation activities are expected to conduct themselves in good faith and in complete alignment with our charitable mission. All personnel must observe strict confidentiality regarding sensitive donor, beneficiary, and operational data, and must adhere to all safety guidelines, codes of conduct, and legal regulations while executing outreach programs.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, branding elements, site designs, graphics, software, text, and visual assets published across our website and digital channels belong to Christians in Nigeria Hope and Care Foundation or its licensors. Users are strictly prohibited from copying, modifying, reproducing, distributing, or republishing any material without prior written authorization from the Foundation.
9. Data Protection and Privacy Integration
The collection, handling, storage, and cross-border transfer of personal details—including identity information, contact details, payment transaction records, verification credentials, and sensitive health information—are governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable Nigerian data protection regulations, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act and guidance issued by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Third-party websites or services linked from our portal operate under their own independent terms and privacy notices.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Our website, digital platforms, and community services are provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Foundation, its trustees, officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your reliance on our website, use of third-party payment gateways, or participation in outreach events.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions, alongside any non-contractual claims arising from them, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In the event of any grievance or dispute, the parties shall first attempt to reach an amicable resolution through direct communication with the Foundation via info@christianhope.ng. If an agreement cannot be reached through informal discussions, the dispute may be submitted to mediation or brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Lagos State, Nigeria.
12. Updates and Contact Information
The Foundation reserves the right to revise or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published directly on our website alongside the revised effective date, and your continued use of our platform after changes are posted signifies your acceptance of the updated terms.
