Refund and Cancellation Policy details
1. Overview and General Policy
Christians in Nigeria Hope and Care Foundation ("the Foundation", "we", "us", or "our") relies on voluntary contributions, donations, and campaign support from individuals, corporate entities, and partners to fund our humanitarian initiatives, medical outreach, and community assistance programmes. Because donations are immediately allocated toward our charitable missions and active field operations, all monetary contributions, campaign donations, and payments made to the Foundation are considered final, non-refundable, and non-transferable.
2. Exceptional Circumstances for Refunds
While donations are generally final, the Foundation recognises that genuine errors or technical glitches can occur during online transactions. We will consider refund requests strictly under specific exceptional circumstances, such as an accidental duplicate charge resulting from a technical processing error, an unauthorised or fraudulent transaction made using a stolen payment card or compromised account, or a clear input error where a donor unintentionally added extra zeroes or entered an incorrect amount during checkout.
If you believe your transaction qualifies for an exception, you must notify us in writing within fourteen calendar days of the transaction date. Requests received after fourteen days will not be eligible for review, as the donated funds may have already been disbursed to ongoing community programmes or beneficiary support projects.
3. Refund Request Procedure and Verification
To request a refund under exceptional circumstances, contact our administrative team at info@christianhope.ng with the subject line “Refund Request - [Your Full Name]”. Your request must include your full name, contact information, the exact date and time of the transaction, the donation amount, payment method, transaction reference number, and a detailed explanation supported by proof of the error, such as a bank statement or payment receipt.
In accordance with financial integrity guidelines, anti-money laundering regulations, and Nigerian data protection standards, the Foundation reserves the right to conduct identity verification before processing any refund or financial adjustment. We may require you to provide additional verification details, such as proof of ownership of the bank account or payment card used, or identity credentials like a National Identification Number (NIN) or Bank Verification Number (BVN), or other means of verification in case of foreign donation. Refunds will only be issued back to the original account or payment method used for the initial transaction and will never be disbursed in cash or to third-party accounts.
4. Recurring Donation Cancellations
If you have set up a recurring monthly or periodic donation plan to support the Foundation, you have the right to cancel your recurring donation arrangement at any time. You can cancel recurring contributions by logging into your donor account on our website, updating your preferences directly through the payment processor platform, or contacting us at info@christianhope.ng at least five business days prior to your next scheduled billing date.
Once cancelled, no further recurring deductions will be made from your card or bank account. Cancelling a recurring donation stops future scheduled payments but does not automatically trigger a refund for previous donations already processed.
5. Campaign and Event Cancellations
If a specific fundraising campaign, health outreach initiative, or community event is cancelled, postponed, or modified by the Foundation due to unforeseen circumstances, security concerns, or regulatory directives, donations raised for that specific campaign will be reassigned and allocated to similar humanitarian or emergency aid initiatives operated by the Foundation. Individual donations will not be automatically refunded unless explicitly required by applicable law or determined necessary by the Foundation's board of trustees.
6. Third-Party Payment Processors
Donations and payments made to the Foundation are processed through secure, authorised third-party payment gateways and financial service providers. The Foundation is not responsible for any processing fees, currency conversion charges, or overdraft charges imposed by your bank or payment processor. In cases where a refund is approved by the Foundation, any non-refundable transaction fees or processing costs charged by the payment gateway may be deducted from the total refunded amount.
